Position: Director Business Development
Zubie, the leading connected car company, is looking for a Director of Business Development
Zubie is an IoT, connected-car services, telematics, and data insights leader based in Bloomington, MN. Zubie powers businesses with real-time information about vehicles and drivers. Its solutions are built to support the automotive, insurance, and fleet industries, as well as small businesses and consumers.
The Zubie Director of Business Development role will be assigned specific geographic and segment responsibilities to grow penetration, subscriber growth, and revenue. The role will require travel to clients as well as to Zubie HQ and meetings. The role can be located near any major metro area that allows for convenient travel logistics.
The candidate should have a strong back ground in automotive, telematics, and sales. Strong analytical, interpersonal and ability to work independently are critical. Demonstrated sales success a must.
The Director of Business Development is directly responsible for daily contact with small/medium/large fleet clients, follow up on aggressive email campaigns, will attend fleet events (where appropriate) and call on fleet operators. The role will be responsible for meeting specific monthly goals of direct contact quantity, enterprise sales, and initiated pilot programs with perspective fleet clients.
The Zubie Business Development role will report directly to the V.P. of Strategic Partnerships as part of a sales organization that involves both inside and outside sales resources. This role will also work closely with Zubie Marketing and Product Development to drive market growth.
Responsibilities and key measures of success:
Success in this role will be measured in a multi-dimensional way.
- Overall revenue growth
- Quantity of new subscriber growth
- Quality of new client onboarding, including customer experience and care, contribution of client agreement (volume and pricing and duration)
- Current client renewal penetration
- Quantity of client calls, visits
- Maintain CRM with proper status and opportunity scope
- Develop and maintain effective product demonstration skills and presentation materials
